1. Do I need a permit for a garage sale?

Yes. Permits for garage sales (PDF) can be obtained from the Clerk’s Office for $5.

2. Can I be added to a Bid / RFP notification list?

The Borough of Milltown does not maintain a bid or solicitors list to notify potential bidders.

All upcoming bids or requests for proposals are posted on the Milltown Website and will be advertised in the Home News Tribune or Star Ledger.

3. When does Milltown have a Rabies Clinic?

Generally, there is a Free Rabies Clinic in Milltown in May. For a schedule of Rabies Clinics in Middlesex County, including Milltown, visit the Middlesex County Rabies Schedule webpage.

4. What do I do if I suspect there are bed bugs in a hotel I stayed in or in my home?

If they are suspected to be in a hotel/motel in town the DCA- Hotels/Motels Complaints should be contacted at 609-633-6227. 

If they are in a home or residential rental property, please call Middlesex County Health Department at 732-632-8504.

5. Where do I vote at? Where is my voting district?

Polling district and location can be found on your sample ballot. If you do not have a sample ballot, you can call the Borough Clerk at 732-828-2100, ext. 181.

6. I would like the Mayor or member of the governing body to attend / oversee an event?

These requests need to be made in writing. The request should include:

• Date and time of event
• Dress code
• Location of event
• Requested responsibility of the attending member
• Type of event

Please submit requests via email to the Clerk's Office.

7. Can I have a block party?

Block parties are allowed once they are approved by the Chief of Police, Supervisor of Public Works and Governing Body.

A completed Block party application (PDF) must be submitted to the Clerk’s Office a minimum of 1 week prior to a regularly scheduled council meeting in order to be considered.
