1. When will I receive my water / sewer bill? Why am I being charged interest if I didn’t receive my bill?

Water and sewer are billed quarterly.  By Resolution, the Borough of Milltown allows a 28 day grace period before charging a penalty for late payments. Failure to receive a bill in the mail does not invalidate the bill. It is the account holder’s responsibility to contact the Utility office to obtain the total amount due.

2. How are water / sewer bills calculated?

3. How do I change my mailing address on my bill?

Please complete the Address Change Form (PDF) and submit it to the Utility office.

4. What happens if I do not pay the water bill?

A lien will be sold against the property if there are any unpaid utility bills owed from the previous year, this may also include other municipal charges.

5. How do I discontinue service if I’m selling my home or if one of my tenants is moving out?

If you are selling your home, please have your Title Agency or Attorney complete the Final Meter Readings Form (PDF) and submit it to the Utility office at least 24 hours in advance of the closing. 

If a tenant is moving out, the owner or the tenant can complete the Final Meter Readings Form (PDF) and submit it to the Utility office at least 24 hours prior to the departure of the tenant.
