The Milltown Recreation Department is made up of 3 Departments, Recreation, SACC (School Age Child Care) and the Borough Pool. We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of its residents. Our goal is to reach and grow with the community through Recreation by providing a safe and fun environment of recreational programs, events and services of the highest quality.
We hope that our web page helps you find information about our many different programs, events and community. Please feel free to stop by the Recreation/SACC Department during our hours of operation to see us. We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions. If you have any at any time, please let us know.
Information & Policies
Recreation Programs, events and trips are open to all Residents and Non-Residents of Milltown with the exception of Albert Avenue Summer Recreation Program, which is only open to Milltown Residents. If you or your child would like to participate in a Recreation Program you must register. No registrations will be processed or accepted without full payment and a signed registration form.
Registration for all Recreation Programs and SACC can now be done by using Community Pass. All registration is on a first come first serve basis. Registration method is indicated in the program description. Once a program/class has reached its maximum enrollment, that program/class will be closed, no further registration will be permitted.
Payment is now accepted by Credit Card or Check.
Refunds will only be made if a program is canceled due to insufficient enrollment or if a program / class is canceled by the Recreation Department. Please check your schedules carefully before committing.
If group minimums are not met, programs may be shortened, condensed or cancelled. Those enrolled in the program will be notified of any changes prior to the start of the program. Milltown Recreation has the right to cancel, change or alter the program/class.
Recreation and SACC programs advertised are intended for willing participants. Milltown Recreation, Coaches, Supervisors, Managers, et al. holds the right to request any participant that is not in full compliance with the Milltown Recreation Rules of Conduct to leave the program/class.
General Program / Event / Class Policy
Events, Programs and Classes are held at various places throughout the Borough, such as, the Milltown Senior Center, Parkview School and Joyce Kilmer Schools. Please note carefully the dates and times of the programs, events and class. We will notify you if your class is canceled or changed, so it is very important that we have a daytime phone number AND email. Please make sure your schedule permits you/your child to participate in the Recreation/SACC program or class before registering. We cannot issue refunds unless the Recreation Department cancels or changes the advertised schedule of a program/class. Please arrive on time for programs and classes and pick up promptly.
We charge an additional fee to SACC parents who are late when picking up their children. Please see the Parent Handbook (PDF) regarding this policy. We will do our best to re-schedule all programs/events/classes that the Recreation Department cancels; however, we must obtain facilities prior to doing so.
